Satyananda Yoga classes taught in the Illawarra NSW. Day and evening classes for all levels beginners to advanced are held regularly at Bulli. She regularly teaches at the Satyananda Yoga Centre at Mangrove Mountain coordinating yoga relax weekends and meditation weekends and assisting in the yoga studies diploma and yoga teacher training. Over the past ten years, domestic violence victims, problem gamblers, Vietnam Veterans and their partners, survivors of sexual abuse, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, anxiety and depression, arthritis, she has also taught yoga to groups with specialised needs and health issues including: seniors, deaf and hearing impaired. As well as running regular classes, Sue has taught yoga for clients and staff of community & government organisations. As her business name suggests this 'Yoga is for Everybody' including all ages, fitness, all levels of health, all body shapes and sizes, mobility and yoga experience. Initially teaching one class Sue now regularly offers 8 different day and evening classes for all levels from Beginners to Advanced. Sue Brittain (Atmakiran) has completed the 3 year Diploma of Satyananda Yoga Teaching and is accredited and affiliated with Satyananda Yoga Academy and has been teaching yoga at Bulli since 2000. Practices are taught systematically and safely with an emphasis on developing self-awareness. Satyananda Yoga is a systematic approach that incorporates awareness of all aspects of one's being, meditation to calm and focus the mind and deep relaxation to reduce stress, breathing practices to balance the energy in the body, tone and relax the physical body, using postures to stretch, promote healing and create a sense of well-being. The teacher, Sue Brittain is a fully accredited and affiliated Satyananda Yoga teacher.
