Wollongong Women's Information Service (also known as the Women's Centre) provides a range of services for women including:

We provide a range of social health and inclusion programs for women from all ages and backgrounds; Positive Relationships groups for women who are experiencing or have previously experienced domestic violence;.

LIFVSS workers provide assistance with Domestic Violence issues, Support and advocacy when dealing with the Police, Crisis support, Housing issues, AVO's, the Courts or Legal professionals.
Lake Illawarra Family Violence Support Service (LIFVSS)
Outreach Support Workers are located in the Lake Illawarra Local Area Command for information, referral, support and advocacy for women experiencing Domestic Violence.

AFTER COURT - After court, children’s needs, income support, we can refer you to other services that can help you with safe housing, family law and counselling. The Illawarra Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service will also keep you informed about the progress of your matter through the court, including future dates when you need to attend court.
AT COURT - We will make sure you have a safe place to sit at court, give you information to help you understand what is happening and work with you to get an order that is best for your situation.

The Illawarra Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service has specialist workers to help Aboriginal women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
What we do:
BEFORE COURT - If you have a domestic violence matter which is going to court and you want to know what will happen, we can provide you with information and other assistance.
IWDVCAS is funded by Legal Aid NSW and is managed by Wollongong Women’s Information Service Inc.
IWDVCAS is a locally-based, independent service for women and children seeking help and information about how to get protection from the court from domestic violence. Support at hearings is also provided where possible.
The Illawarra Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (IWDVCAS) provides court support for women seeking an AVO on AVO list days at Wollongong, Port Kembla, Albion Park and Kiama local courts.
